Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Child Life Playroom at the Pediatric Oncology Outpatient Clinic

Update Clinic area providing the following requested items, completed 10/05.

  • New 32" Flat Screen TV, with wall swivel mount.
  • DVD/VCR unit, 2 portable CD/cassette players.
  • Rolling entertainment unit including 20" tv/dvd/vcr, PS-2 game player, X-Box unit, library of 20 new games.
  • Puppet Patent MRI machine with sound CD, examining table, puppet with port-a-cath, spine and removable hair and IV pole.
  • Soft mats, chairs, 4 table/chair units, family doll sets, washable dolls, wall mirror, art easel and stacker unit, vhs library, art supplies.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc,
  • Installation of another brand new Childrens library
  • Provided thousands of books, shelving, and seating along with "Children of the World" rug and decorations.
  • Installed new color coded labeling system to cooridinate new books donated.
  • Received a wonderfully uplifting thank you letter from Ronald McDonalds House Charities of Baltimore.
 



 
New York's Ronald McDonald House is the nation's largest Ronald McDonald House. Children come from all over the world to visit 12 major cancer treatment centers. Treatment often requires long stays of weeks, months and in some cases years away from home. Parents, children and staff alike were grateful for their new library. Books are now available in the playroom area and can be used in their rooms and taken on hospital and clinic visits.

Ronald McDonald House, New York City, NY

  • Provided new PS-2 game boxes and two new X-boxes along with 20 games, 3/05
  • Shipped 10 dozen new large white bath towels to be used by family residents
  • Hardwood rocking chairs donated for every floor in Ronald McDonald House, 9 in total. 3/04.
  • Installed brand new Children's Library, 4/30/04. Provided shelving, colorful rug, painting and decorations, bins and labeling along with over 4,000 children's books.
  • Updated existing Homework Library with 3 new sets of Encyclopedias.

The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Society

Fund raising efforts allowed for donation of nearly $5,000 made 7/04. The Neuroblastoma Children's Cancer Society is an advocate for the children who suffer from neuroblastoma and is dedicated to serving as a support center for their families.

Sinai Hospital: Pediatric Oncology Clinic

  • Updated computer games to include 6 additional children's programs for older children 7 and up 7/04.
  • Purchased new computer for children's education and entertainment, 12/03.
  • Provided new rolling desk, chair and 10 children's computer games, 1/04.

Sinai Hospital, Pediatric Emergency Room

Donated TV/DVD's for Children's viewing, 1/04. Added small Children's DVD library, 1/04.
